He has now become the highest run-scorer in ODI cricket after opening 21 innings. In this case, Shubman Gill broke the record of Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq. 

Shubman Gill has scored the highest 1,254 runs in 21 innings of 21 ODIs at an average of 73.76. While Imam-ul-Haq scored 1,090 runs in the same number of innings at an average of 60.56.
