He has now become the highest run-scorer in ODI cricket after opening 21 innings. In this case, Shubman Gill broke the record of Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq. 

Shubman Gill has scored the highest 1,254 runs in 21 innings of 21 ODIs at an average of 73.76. While Imam-ul-Haq scored 1,090 runs in the same number of innings at an average of 60.56.


Gill's name is going to record the record of scoring the most runs after 22, 23, and 24 innings. England's Jonathan Trott has scored the most 1,194 runs in ODIs after 24 innings.
