Despite being out of Asia Cup, Virat Kohli can still become the top scorer of the Asia Cup, with know-how!

Even though Team India is out of the 2022 Asia Cup, one big positive thing is that Virat Kohli is back. He has been scoring runs consistently and on Thursday, Kohli ended his 3-year wait after scoring his 71st century.

Kohli, after his unbeaten 122 against Afghanistan, currently sits at the top of the list of highest run-scorers in the 2022 edition of the Asia Cup. However, Mohammad Rizwan will have a chance to beat Kohli in the final on September 11.

Rizwan has also been in red-hot form, and even though he could only manage 14 against Sri Lanka on Friday, he will have another chance on Sunday. In the final of the Asia Cup 2022, Rizwan needs to score at least 50 runs to overtake Kohli, otherwise, the former India captain will become the tournament's top run scorer in this year's edition.

Rizwan is currently at the second spot with 226 runs.

Both the batsmen have been in great form lately, however, if the Sri Lankan bowlers perform in the final as they did in the Super 4 clash on Friday, Rizwan could find it difficult to try to overtake Virat.

Wanindu Hasaranga took three wickets, while debutants Pramod Madushan and Mahesh Thekshana both took two wickets each to restrict Pakistan to 121 runs.
