Commonwealth Games 2022: Seven Indian boxers confirmed medals
Indian boxers have performed brilliantly so far in the Commonwealth Games being played in Birmingham. By the end of the seventh day of the Commonwealth Games 2022, India has seven medals in boxing.
On the seventh day, Sagar Ahlawat, Amit Panghal, Jasmine, and Rohit Tokas have confirmed medals in their respective categories. These four Indian boxers have reached the semi-finals.
Earlier, Nikhat Zareen (50kg), Neetu Ganghas (48kg), and Mohammad Husamuddin (57kg) had confirmed their medals. Sagar Ahlawat defeated KD Evans Agnes of Seychelles 5-0 in the quarterfinals of the men's super heavyweight (+91kg) category.
Jasmine defeated New Zealand's Troy Garten 4-1 in the quarterfinals of the women's lightweight (60kg) category. Amit Panghal defeated Lennon Mulligan of Scotland in the flyweight (48-51kg) quarterfinals. In the Commonwealth Games 2022, India has so far won 20 medals with six gold.
