Commonwealth Games 2022: On the seventh day, India won two medals including one gold!

On the seventh day of the Commonwealth Games 2022, India got one gold and one silver medal. Sudhir brought laurels to the country by winning a gold medal in Para-Powerlifting. Murali Sreeshankar was successful in winning the silver medal in the long jump. India's medal tally has increased to 20 in the Commonwealth Games 2022. This includes six gold, seven silver, and seven bronze medals.

India is at the seventh position in the medal tally of Commonwealth Games 2022 with 20 medals. Australia continues to top the medal tally with 132 medals so far. In boxing, Amit Panghal, Jasmine, Sagar Ahlawat and Rohit Tokas have confirmed their medals by entering the semi-finals. 

Para-powerlifter Sudhir managed to lift the gold medal in the men's heavyweight final by lifting 212 kg. This is India's first gold medal in para-powerlifting at the Commonwealth Games.

Wherein India's long jumper Murali Sreeshankar won the silver medal in the final with a best jump of 8.08m. In hockey, the Indian team defeated Wales to reach the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games for the fourth time in a row.
