Ahead of the ODI series against India starting on July 22, two big players of the host West Indies have surprised everyone by announcing their retirement. On Monday night, two West Indies star players Lendl Simmons and wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin announced their retirement.

However, both these players are not part of the West Indies team for the ODI series against India. West Indies star batsman Lendl Simmons has played eight Tests, 68-68 T20, and One Day International matches. He has also scored a century in IPL.

Former West Indies captain Dinesh Ramdin made his international debut in the year 2005. He has announced his retirement due to not playing any international match since December 2019. Denesh Ramdin has been a member of the winning team of the West Indies in the 2012 and 2016 T20 World Cup.
