Aus vs Eng: Australia won the three-match series by winning the second ODI, Smith missed a century
After half-centuries from Steve Smith (94 runs), Marnus Labuschagne (58 runs), and Mitchell Marsh (50 runs), Australia won the second match of the three-match ODI series on the basis of the killer bowling of Mitchell Starc (four wickets for 47 runs). I also defeated England today.
Australia won the match by 72 runs and captured the three-match series. This is Australia's second consecutive win in this series. Batting first, Australia scored 280 runs losing eight wickets at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
In reply, England were bundled out for only 208 runs in 38.5 overs. For Australia, Mitchell Starc and Adam Zampa got the maximum four wickets each. While two wickets were taken by Josh Helgewood.
Earlier, Steve Smith played a brilliant inning of 94 runs off 114 balls. He also scored an unbeaten 80 in the first match. Marnus Labuschagne scored 58 runs off 55 balls with the help of four fours and a six. Mitchell Marsh also contributed 50 runs.
