Speaking to Jagran TV, the former Bengal coach said, "There was a time when winning in Test cricket was considered when you got yourself drawn. But now this thinking has changed and I give full credit to Virat Kohli."

The 66-year-old further added, "He changed the mindset of the team and motivated the team to play for victory without the fear of losing."

Arun Lal also lauded Rishabh Pant and supported him to carry forward Kohli's legacy.


Similar to Kohli, Pant is not afraid to take risks, and he has developed into a key player for India in Tests, playing crucial innings in the win over Australia at the Gabba in 2021, and that against England were impressive in the rescheduled fifth Test match. ,
