There has been a huge reshuffle in Team India. 10 players have been dropped from the team. In their place, 9 other players have been given a chance. This change has not happened in the Indian team selected for the Champions Trophy but in the team for the ODI series against England. In fact, out of the 15 players selected for the 5 T20 series against England, 10 will not be a part of the ODI series. By excluding them, 9 other players have been given a place in the Indian ODI team.

The 10 players who played the T20 series and have been dropped from Team India for the ODI series include - Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Verma, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakraborty, Shivam Dubey, Ramandeep Singh, Rinku Singh and Dhruv Jurail. Surya, Samson, Abhishek, Bishnoi, Varun, and Tilak were seen playing in all 5 matches of the T20 series. Rinku Singh was a part of the first 3 matches. Jurail and Dubey played 2-2 matches while Ramandeep Singh did not get a chance to play a single match.

Now the players who have entered Team India for the ODI series include Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Kuldeep Yadav. Of these, Kuldeep Yadav will be seen playing international matches after October 2024 and Shreyas Iyer after August 2024.
Changes in the team for the ODI series
