One kidney, heart and lungs were allotted to Sawai Man Singh Hospital in

Jaipur. For the first time, the organs were brought from Jhalawar to SMS Hospital Jaipur for transplant with the help of a helicopter. Similarly, a kidney and liver transplant were done at AIIMS Jodhpur and in this hospital too, organs were airlifted from Jhalawar.

According to officials, Medical Education Secretary Ambrish Kumar and Medical Education Commissioner Iqbal Khan and other officials played a key role in the process of organ donation which led to the successful completion of organ donation and transplantation. Kumar said that the department will encourage people to donate organs by running special campaigns through various NGOs for organ donation.
