When will the GATE 2024 result be released? Know how many candidates passed last year!

Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore has announced the date of release of GATE 2024 results. GATE 2024 results will be declared on March 16. The results will be released on the official website gate2024.iisc.ac.in. Once the link is activated, candidates can check their scores using their registration number, roll number, and date of birth. The exam was held on 3, 4, 10, and 11 February 2024.

A total of 6.8 lakh candidates appeared for the GATE 2024 exam this year. On the basis of GATE score, candidates can get admission into master's programs in IITs and other technical institutes. Many government companies also provide jobs on the basis of GATE scores. The provision answer key was released earlier and candidates were given time till February 25 to lodge objections. Now, the final answer key and results are to be declared.

How many candidates passed last year?

Last year, a total of 6.7 lakh candidates appeared for the GATE exam, out of which around 1 lakh candidates passed. Similarly, in 2022, out of about 8 lakh candidates, 1.12 lakh candidates passed the examination.

What are GATE cut-off marks?

The cut-off is prepared on the basis of the total number of candidates appearing in the examination, the number of seats, previous years' trends, and the difficulty level of the question paper. IISc releases the GATE cut-off for candidates in various categories every year. In 2023, the cut-off for Computer Science Engineering was 675 and for Artificial Intelligence was 810.
