When will GATE 2024 answer key and result be released? Check details!

The answer key and result of GATE 2024 exam will be released soon. The exam was conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore on February 3, 4, 10 and 11, 2024. First the provisional answer key will be released, then the final answer key and the result will be released after resolving the objections received. The provisional answer key will be available on the official website gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

As per the official notification of the institute, the provisional answer key of GATE 2024 will be released on February 16, 2024. Candidates will be given time to raise objections. Candidates who appeared for the examination can raise objections on the provisional answer key from February 22 to February 25. After resolving the objections, the final answer key will be released on February 21 and the result will be declared on March 16.

Candidates should note that one third (0.33) of the allotted marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in multiple choice questions. For more information candidates can check the official notification released by the institute.

Steps to download answer key:

Visit the official website of IISc Bangalore, gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

Click on the link of GATE Provisional Answer Key 2024 on the home page.

Enter the login credentials like registration ID and password.

The answer will be displayed on the screen.

Investigate and raise objections if necessary.

It is to be mentioned that GATE 2024 was conducted for 30 papers, which were divided into two sections – General Aptitude and the specific subject chosen by the candidates. The examination was conducted in two sessions, each session lasting three hours. The first session was from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the second session was from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The distribution of marks in all papers except AR, GG, MA, ST, XE and XL included 15 marks for General Aptitude, 72 marks for subject questions and 13 marks for Engineering Mathematics.
