Not only losing weight but gaining weight is also a difficult task. People make fun of you for being underweight, besides, thin people also seem to be malnourished. The best way to gain weight is not to eat too much but to balance your diet and exercise routine.

Priya Paliwal, Chief Dietician at Shri Balaji Action Medical Institute, Delhi, says that some young people weigh 40 to 45 kg at the age of 25. It is important to have the right body weight according to your age. But if you are also facing this problem, then know from the experts how to plan your diet in a better way.

How is your breakfast?

You can have oatmeal or porridge with a cup of milk for breakfast, you can eat fresh fruits like apples, bananas, or grapes. Include nuts like almonds, walnuts, or pistachios in your breakfast. Consume milk, eggs, curd, etc. in the morning.

Lunch

You should have your meal between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm. For lunch, you can have about 4-5 chapatis, brown rice or quinoa, lentils, green vegetables, and salad. You can also include grilled chicken and fish in your lunch. Include curd with your lunch.

Evening Snacks

In the evening you should eat fruits like bananas, and grapes along with almonds, walnuts and pistachios. You can also eat brown bread or eggs. Apart from this, you can eat gram, soybean and moong dal in the evening.

What to eat at night

You should eat light food at night. Try to have dinner between 7 and 8 pm. You can eat three rotis, green vegetables, salad, grilled chicken or fish at night. You can also drink lukewarm milk.

Apart from this, you must drink at least 10 to 12 glasses of water throughout the day. To gain weight, include dairy products in your diet. Exercise for at least half an hour daily. This makes you feel hungry and also helps in digesting food.
