Pea Kachori is very tasty to eat. Today in this episode, we have brought you the recipe for making Matar Kachori.

Ingredients for covering

- One and a half cups flour

- 3 tbsp ghee (for moyan)

- 2 tsp semolina

- Salt as per taste

- Oil for frying

Ingredients for Stuffing

- One and a half cups green peas (boiled)

- 1 piece of ginger.

- 2 tsp oil

- 3-4 green chilies

- Pinch of asafoetida

- 1 tsp garam masala powder

- 1 tsp cumin seeds

- 1 tsp coriander powder -

1/2 tsp fennel powder

- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

- 1/2 tsp red chili powder

- little coriander (finely chopped)

- 1/2 tsp dried mango powder

- Salt as per taste


Stuffing Method

Grind coarsely by mixing green peas, ginger, and green chilies in the mixie.

Heat oil in a pan and then add cumin and asafoetida inside it.

Add all the powdered spices and fry till the aroma comes.

You have to fry it till water is absorbed by adding peas paste.

When the mixture starts getting dry, add coriander leaves and salt, mix well, and turn off the flame.

Method of covering

Knead a stiff dough by mixing all the ingredients except oil for frying.

Keep covered for 10-15 minutes. After this, make a ball of fine flour and fill it with 1 tablespoon of peas stuffing and make kachoris.

- Heat oil in a pan. Fry the kachoris inside it on low flame till they turn golden brown.

Serve with green chutney and tamarind-date sweet chutney.
