Monsoon news: Conditions are favorable for further advance of southwest monsoon into the remaining parts of the central Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Karnataka, some parts of south Maharashtra, some more parts of Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, some parts of south Chhattisgarh and south-west central and north-west Bay of Bengal during next 24 to 48 hours.

Weather Update today 8 June: The period of the weather department's kindness in Delhi and NCR for the past few days will end by the evening of 8 June. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of a dust storm in Delhi-NCR on Saturday. This cool weather activity will end on 8 June, after which hot and humid conditions will return again in the new week starting from Monday.

The heat wave will start again

Next week, the mercury in Delhi may once again reach 45 degrees Celsius or even more. Due to this another round of heat waves may start in the national capital. Let us tell you that there are still many days left for the monsoon to arrive in Delhi. Technically, the monsoon arrives in Delhi in the last days of June. Although the monsoon is currently moving at its normal speed, it is believed that after the round of heat waves, the monsoon may knock in Delhi and its surrounding areas.

IMD Rainfall alert: Rain alert

Talking about the weather in Rajasthan, today Bikaner, Jodhpur, and surrounding areas are likely to receive moderate to heavy rains with lightning. There is a possibility of hailstorms in western Rajasthan till June 9. Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh will receive light to moderate rains during the next four to five days.

Hailstorms may occur in western Madhya Pradesh between June 8 and 9. Talking about the states of northwest India, light to moderate rain is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh between June 8-9. Apart from this, light rain is expected in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Rajasthan on June 8. From June 12, rain activities will increase in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Gangetic West Bengal.

Talking about the top 3 hottest cities in North India, Jhansi (45.8) in UP, Damoh (45.5) in MP and Chittorgarh (44.2) in Rajasthan are included in the list of hottest cities with degrees Celsius.

Southwest Monsoon:  According to the information received from the Meteorological Department regarding monsoon, the conditions are favorable for the advancement of monsoon. In the next 72 hours, it will knock in states like Maharashtra, Telangana, the remaining areas of coastal Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, southern Odisha, etc. At the same time, the western disturbance is being seen as a cyclonic circulation over northern Pakistan and its surrounding areas. A cyclonic circulation is formed over south-west Rajasthan.

According to 'Skymet Weather', during the last 24 hours, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, North Interior Karnataka, parts of Telangana South Konkan, and Goa witnessed light to moderate rains with heavy rains at some places. Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, parts of Vidarbha, Odisha, South-East Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Jammu and Kashmir witnessed rains. Dust storms occurred along with light rains in parts of Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan. Dust storms also occurred in Delhi-NCR during the night.

Light rain occurred in Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, South Madhya Pradesh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep. Heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh.

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy spells is possible over Karnataka, parts of Kerala, Lakshadweep, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Light to moderate rain is possible over Vidarbha, Sikkim, Northeast India, South Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and parts of Himachal Pradesh. Light rain is possible over Odisha, parts of South Gujarat, East Rajasthan, and parts of Bihar and Jharkhand. 

Thunderstorms with dust storms are possible at many places over western Rajasthan, parts of eastern Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana. Light rain with dust storms is possible in Delhi and adjoining areas. Hot winds may blow in isolated areas of northeastern Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, and Odisha.
