Wait of 5 years is over, order for appointment to 12,460 posts of primary teachers in UP!

Allahabad High Court has taken an important decision in the matter of recruitment of primary teachers in Uttar Pradesh. The Lucknow bench of the High Court has rejected a decision cancelling the selection process of 12,460 assistant teachers. This matter has been pending since 2018 and after this decision, thousands of youth will get relief.

After this decision, Allahabad High Court has ordered to release of the common merit list for the remaining 6,470 posts for this recruitment as per the order of the Supreme Court. The High Court has said that the state government should make appointments for these posts within three months.

In this case, the division bench of Justice AR Masoodi and Justice Om Prakash Shukla has given the verdict. This case is based on 19 special appeals filed by Mohit Kumar Dwivedi and other selected candidates. The application process for this recruitment started on 21 December 2016.

The High Court has directed the state government to conduct counselling for this vacancy quickly and make fresh appointments following the rules of UP Basic Education Teachers Service Rules 1981. In this, some candidates and the state government had filed 19 appeals challenging the order of the single bench. There were a total of 12,460 posts for this recruitment, out of which appointments have been made for 5,990 posts and appointments for the remaining 6,470 posts are going to happen soon.
