Shoes and slippers- According to Vastu Shastra, shoes and slippers should not be kept near the Tulsi plant even by mistake. Doing so is considered an insult to Lakshmi. Mother Lakshmi gets angry by keeping shoes and slippers near Tulsi, in such a situation the person has to face a financial crisis. Along with this, shoes and slippers are considered to be the symbol of Rahu and Shani.

Dustbin- According to Vastu Shastra, dustbin should never be kept near Tulsi. Keeping dirt near the Tulsi plant can worsen the financial condition of the family.
