Investors using the trading platform are required by the capital markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to link their Aadhaar number with the appropriate demat account. National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL), in line with this, has taken measures to link the Aadhaar number with the demat account.

Open the official NSDL website.

Search 'Link Aadhaar with Demat Account' on the homepage.

Click on the 'Get Started' tab on the new page.

Enter Customer ID, PAN number, Demat account number, Demat account holder name, etc.

After the verification code, click on 'Proceed'.

You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

For confirmation, the demat information will be shown on the screen. If the data shown is accurate, continue with the connection process.

Aadhaar and demat accounts will be linked once the information is successfully verified and authenticated.
