UPPSC PCS Mains Exam: Application for UP PCS Mains Exam begins, know how many posts will be recruited

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission i.e. UPPSC has started the application process for PCS Main Exam 2024. All the candidates who have passed the prelims exam can apply for it. To apply, candidates have to visit the official website of UPPSC https://uppsc.up.nic.in/. Through this recruitment exam, UPPSC will recruit a total of 947 candidates.

A total of 5,76,154 candidates had registered for the UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam 2024, out of which only 2 lakh 41 thousand 359 candidates appeared in the exam. The exam was held on 22 December 2024 and its result was released on 28 February. A total of 15066 candidates were declared successful. Now all these candidates can apply online mode on the official website till 24 March 2025.

Candidates have been instructed to take a printout of the online application form and submit it by post or in person to the UPPSC office by 5 pm on April 1. Candidates will have to submit self-attested copies of mark sheets of each year, degree, and certificates related to all other claims along with the print of the UPPSC PCS Mains exam form.

  • Then click on the news updates link.
  • After that go to the option of UP PCS Main Exam Registration.
  • Fill in all the required information and submit the form.

What is the pattern of the main exam?

The UPPSC PCS main exam will be of 1500 marks, in which there will be a total of eight papers and the duration of each exam will be three hours. This exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and the second shift will be from 2 pm to 5 pm. The first paper will be of General Hindi of 150 marks, then the second paper will be an essay of 150 marks and the remaining 6 papers will be of General Studies of 200-200 marks. Candidates who pass the main exam will then have to appear for the interview, which will be of 100 marks.
