Type 2 diabetes can be controlled by taking care of diet, the difference is seen immediately
A new study has come out about the rapidly spreading type 2 diabetes in the world. The team researching this disease has informed that diabetes can be completely controlled by taking care of the diet under the supervision of dieticians. The research was carried out by the University of British Columbia and Teesside University and is published in Nature Communications. The research team prepared its results under the supervision of dieticians for 12 weeks.
In this study, a diet plan was prepared for all patients with type 2 diabetes. His diet consisted of low-calorie, low-carbohydrate, and high-protein food. During this, dieticians kept constant supervision and their medicines were also taken care of. Dr. Jonathan Little of the study team said that it was clear from the results that diabetes can be completely controlled with a balanced diet.
In the study, it was found that diabetic patients who included low-calorie, low-carbohydrate, and high-protein food in their diet, had to reduce the amount of diabetes medicine. The situation was that in 12 weeks more than one-third of the patients did not need the medicine. Dr. Jonathan reported that these patients saw improved glucose, weight, and systolic blood pressure as well as improvements in overall health with the prescribed diet.
