Night rules to follow while traveling in Indian Railways:

Playing music on a loudspeaker is prohibited. Passengers listening to music during the night should use earphones or play music at a low decibel level.

Loud talking on the phone is prohibited in the seat, compartment, or coach during the night.

Passengers will not be allowed to keep lights on after 10:00 pm, however, the use of night lights is permitted.

Indian Railways has informed that passengers traveling during night time will have to follow the rules, failing which the authorities will take appropriate action in the form of a fine.

The TTE and other railway staff will also keep a watch on the passengers during the night to ensure that the decorum of the coach is maintained and that no passenger creates an unnecessary ruckus and disturbs the sleep of fellow passengers.
