Nilgiri Mountain Railway

This railway line is built between rocky terrain and densely forested hills. The 46-kilometer track runs from Mettupalayam to Ooty via Coonoor and passes through 32 bridges and 16 tunnels. Darjeeling Toy Train
The Darjeeling Toy Train, also known as the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, is one of the oldest historical mountain railways in India. It takes travelers from the low hills of the Eastern Himalayas to the steep hills and lush green tea gardens of Darjeeling.
The railway line is 80 km from New Jalpaiguri in the state of West Bengal to Darjeeling via Siliguri, Kurseong, and Ghoom. If you don't have much time to travel, two-hour joy rides from Darjeeling are popular. The beautiful hills of Kangchenjunga range can be seen from here.
