It is also known as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square. Kathmandu Durbar Square is famous for its architectural heritage. It is believed to be the place from where the kings were ruled and crowned, which is now declared as a World Heritage Site and is counted among the most famous and visited tourist places in the capital city of Nepal. #Boudhnath stupa

One of the holiest Buddhist sites for Tibetans, the Boudhanatha Stupa is believed to have been built in the 14th century. Although it was originally built much earlier i.e. around 600 AD, it was looted and rebuilt by the invaders. The entire Boudhanath area in Kathmandu is inhabited by Tibetans. It is considered one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world. Walking clockwise around the stupa and turning the wheels made of brass on the way is quite beautiful and interesting. Located in the heart of Lalitpur city, Patan Durbar Square is the third most popular Durbar Square in the country. Although it is said to be the smallest of all the Durbar Squares, it is also famous as the most beautiful. This magnificent construction was built during the reign of the Malla kings especially during the reign of Raja Siddhi Narasimha Malla from the 14th to 18th century.
