Situated at an altitude of 2134 meters above sea level, Darjeeling is an ideal retreat in the Himalayan mountain range of gift-giving West Bengal. This place is related to countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal. The major identity here is mainly due to the production of tea, but there are many other interesting attractions here. The following are some of the places worth visiting:
Happy Valley Tea Estate: This is a famous destination located in Darjeeling. It has an altitude of about 2,100 meters and is spread over an area of 437 acres. Established in 1854 by an Englishman, it is one of the tallest tea factories in the world. Its main achievement is for high-quality tea.
Singalila National Park: The height of this park is 2134 meters above sea level and it is located in the highest areas of West Bengal. It is famous for its spectacular peaks and Himalayan views. It is a good place for trekking enthusiasts and a wide variety of plants and animals can be seen here.
Tiger Hill: It is located at a distance of about 12 kilometers from Darjeeling and from here you can enjoy beautiful views of Mount Everest, the Eastern Himalayas, tea gardens, and Kangchenjunga. Its height is 2,590 meters (8,500 ft) and the view of sunrise and sunset is worth seeing from here.
