Strict rules for companies making spam calls

First rule
According to TRAI rules, if any institution is found to be making spam calls, then all telecom resources of that institution will be cut off. Apart from this, this institution will be blacklisted by all telecom operators for 2 years.

It has to be understood here that with the new rule, the number of any person who is using his mobile number for telemarketing or promotion will be blacklisted for 2 years.

It is known that the government had introduced the specific number series, 160, to prevent financial fraud. However, many times mobile users also receive calls related to promotion and telemarketing from private numbers. In such a situation, the new rule will apply to everyone.
