Effective in preventing heart disease

Millets contain vitamin 'B' (especially B-3 or niacin), which helps in reducing the level of triglycerides. Triglycerides increase the risk of heart disease and heart attack, so the consumption of these grains is helpful in controlling cholesterol levels.
