Skincare Tips:-Women with olive skin tone should keep these makeup tips in mind
You must have often heard from makeup and beauty experts that we should choose makeup according to our skin tone. Now many women are aware of skin tone, but some are not. There are three types of skin tones – cool, warm and neutral, but some women have an olive skin tone as well.
According to makeup expert Nikita Sharma, “Olive skin is a blend of light yellow and green with neutral undertones. Many women do not understand their skin tone and considering them to be neutral; they do the same kind of makeup, which does not look good on the face at all. This is the reason why women with olive skin tone often find it difficult to find the right shade of makeup. If you have olive skin, we can help you choose the right shade of makeup. If you do not know whether your skin tone is olive or not, then we are going to tell you in this article how to find out.
How to find an olive skin tone
Skin undertone is a single colour under your skin colour. There are three types - cool, warm and neutral. People with cool undertones tend to be pink, red, or blue. A warm-toned person may have a golden, peachy or pale undertone. A neutral undertone is a balance between warm and cool undertones. However, some people do not have all these three undertones and their skin is of olive skin tone. If you want to find out how to know if you have olive skin tone, follow these steps.
Do wen test
Look at the veins on your wrist and notice their colour. Women who have cool and warm undertones will have blue and green veins in colour. If you have an olive skin tone, keep in mind that your veins will be a mix of blue and green.
Nikita says that we can also know the skin tone to a great extent from the jewellery. You must have seen that silver jewellery looks good on many women and gold looks good on some. Both silver and gold jewellery looks great on women with olive skin tones. Pastel-coloured jewellery does not suit olive skin tones at all.
Makeup tips for olive skin tone
Nikita says, “Foundation gives a base to your makeup, which makes your makeup look good. If the foundation is not according to the right skin tone, then it makes the face look too white or too dark. Many foundations are made for cool, warm and neutral tones only. If you have an olive skin tone, then you should use a neutral tone foundation. It will sit on your face easily.
Choose blush like this
The blush gives a beautiful pink tint to your cheeks. This makes your cheeks look red. But you should also choose it according to the skin tone. Avoid applying blushes in pale, cool-toned or pastel shades to your face. Peach, pink, bronze and shimmery shades look great on olive skin tones. It will suit your face.
To highlight the cheekbones, you will have to apply a highlighter. Choosing the right highlighter is extremely important for olive skin tone. If you choose a pale highlighter, it will give a chalky look. So always choose a highlighter in golden colour, which enhances the facial features well.
Take care while applying eyeshadow
If you have good eye makeup, it enhances the whole look. Keep in mind that bronze and gold eyeshadows look great on olive skin tones. Light shades usually do not enhance the look. You can also experiment with deep blue and purple eyeshadow if you want a smoky look.
We hope that now you will find it easier while choosing makeup according to your skin tone.
