These shortcodes are the identity of the bank's message-
SBI said in a message that whatever messages will come from SBI, will contain important codes like SBIBNK, SBIINB, SBYONO, ATMSBI, and SBI/SB. If you get messages with these codes, it means that it is an official message from the bank.

Keeping an eye on cyber fraud-
In fact, it often happens that the way the bank messages you, Cyber Fraud also messages you by following the same method, due to which your transaction details get leaked. The bank never asks you for any personal information or OTP. Anytime the bank asks you for details for KYC. No bank ever asks you to click on any link.

How to detect fake message
If you want to find out whether the message received from the bank is fake or real, then many things have to be kept in mind.

There are no mistakes in the messages sent from banks, whereas there are many mistakes in the fraud messages. In which there are mistakes ranging from grammar mistakes to name mistakes.

Banks or other financial institutions send messages only to their customers, not to everyone. Mostly it has been seen that even from the account where your bank is not there, messages start coming.

If a message is sent by the bank, the mobile number of the sender is not visible, but the short form of the name of the sender bank is visible.

What kind of fake message is being sent?
A text message is being sent to SBI customers stating that their 'YONO' account will be blocked if they do not update their PAN number on the given link. YONO is the digital banking platform of SBI. The fake link in the message leads to an SBI page, which asks users to enter sensitive information. When users enter their details on this, their information reaches hackers and they make you a victim of fraud.
