Registration starts for CTET in July 2024, know the exam date!

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a notification for the registration of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for the July 2024 session. The registration process started on March 7, 2024, and interested candidates can fill out the online form on the official website ctet.nic.in. The last date for submission of online application is 2nd April and the last date for fee payment is also 2nd April.

CTET, or Central Teacher Eligibility Test, is conducted by the CBSE board. It is a national-level examination conducted twice a year in July and December. CTET serves as a qualifying examination for teacher recruitment in schools. This year CTET exam will be conducted in 20 languages ​​in 136 cities across the country.

Application Fee:

Candidates applying for this examination are required to pay the application fee. The examination consists of two papers – Paper I and Paper II. General and OBC category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 1,000 for Paper I or Paper II. If a candidate wants to appear for both papers then the fee is Rs 1,200. SC/ST/PWD (PWD) category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 550 for each paper. If they want to appear in both papers, the combined fee is Rs 600.

Paper I and Paper II:

Paper I is for candidates aiming to teach classes 1 to 5, while Paper II is for candidates aiming to teach classes 6 to 8. Candidates who qualify for this exam can become teachers in schools like Navodaya Vidyalaya (NVS), Kendriya Vidyalaya and Eklavya.

Exam Schedule:

CTET is scheduled on July 7 for both Paper I and Paper II. Paper II will be conducted from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and Paper I will be conducted from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The duration of both the papers is two and a half hours.
