Recipe: Try Tofu Bhurji instead of Egg Bhurji, it tastes amazing!

These days, a vegan diet is being discussed all over the world and the number of people adopting this lifestyle is increasing rapidly. Vegetarian diet does not include consumption of non-vegetarian and dairy products. If you are considering what vegetarian meal would be suitable for breakfast, tofu scrambled eggs can be an excellent choice. It is prepared just like Paneer Bhurji and is enjoyed by both adults and children. Making this recipe is not very difficult and it is ready in a very short time. So, next time you are thinking of trying a new dish, do give this a try.

Ingredients:

Tofu – 300 grams

Onion – 1

Tomato – 1

Red Capsicum – 1

Cumin – 1 tsp

Chopped Ginger – 1 tsp

Green Chillies – 1-2

Red chilli powder – 1 tsp

Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp

Turmeric – 1 /2 teaspoons

Fresh coriander - 2 tablespoons

Oil - 2 tablespoons

Salt as per taste

Recipe:

-First of all, mash the tofu with your hands and keep it aside in a bowl.

Then finely chop onion, tomato, green chilli and red capsicum into small pieces.

-Take a pan, heat oil on medium flame and add cumin seeds to it. When cumin starts crackling, add finely chopped onion, capsicum, ginger and fry.

-Fry all the ingredients until they become soft.

Now add finely chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix well.

-After cooking all the ingredients for 2-3 minutes, add crumbled tofu and mix well with the rest of the ingredients.

Then add salt and black pepper powder and mix for 1-2 minutes and then turn off the flame.

-Your tofu bhurji is ready. Serve it on a plate, garnish with fresh coriander and enjoy.
