The sweetness of Malpua filled with sugar syrup adds an extra layer of sweetness to relationships and festive celebrations. However, this delicious dish can be enjoyed on normal days also. People who are fond of eating sweets can try this recipe at home. So let's know about its recipe.

Material:

1 cup wheat flour

1/2 cup semolina

3 tbsp khoya (mawa)

1 cup milk

1 tsp cardamom powder

1/2 tsp fennel powder (optional)

saffron threads

1 tbsp chopped cashew nuts

1 tbsp chopped pistachios

1 cup

Desi ghee for frying sugar

Recipe:

First of all, sift the wheat flour in a bowl. Mix it well with semolina and then add 2 tablespoons of sugar to this mixture.

Add cardamom powder and fennel powder (optional) to the flour mixture.

Take khoya, crush it with your hands and mix it well with the flour.

Gradually add lukewarm milk to the mixture to make a smooth batter. Keep in mind that a smooth batter has to be prepared from the entire mixture.

Cover the batter and keep it aside for about 1 hour. This allows the flour to absorb the flavours and results in a smoother batter.

Prepare syrup by dissolving sugar in water in a separate pan. Add saffron threads to enhance the flavour and colour of the syrup. Keep the syrup warm.

Heat desi ghee in a pan. Pour small amounts of batter into the pan to make small, round malpuas.

Fry the Malpua until it turns golden brown on both sides.

After frying, soak the Malpua in hot sugar syrup for at least 10-15 minutes. This helps the Malpua to absorb the syrup and become juicy.

Garnish Malpua with chopped cashews and pistachios.

Serve Kesar Malpua on a plate and enjoy the delicious taste of this traditional Indian sweet.
