Sooji Chocolate Halwa is a delicious Indian dessert that combines the flavor of chocolate with the traditional semolina halwa. A simple method of making this delicious dessert is as follows:

Material:

1 cup fine semolina

1/2 cup sugar (as per taste)

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)

2 cups milk

1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder

A handful of chopped dry fruits (cashew nuts, almonds)

A pinch of saffron Thread (optional, for color and taste)

Raisins for garnish (optional)

Instruction:

Heat a heavy-bottomed pan or kadhai on low to medium flame and add ghee to it.

When ghee melts, put semolina in it. Fry the semolina while stirring continuously so that there are no lumps. Fry it until it turns light golden brown, which should take about 7-8 minutes. Be careful not to fry it too much as it may affect the taste.

While roasting the semolina, in another saucepan, heat the milk on medium flame until hot. If you are using saffron threads, you can add them to milk to enhance their color and flavor.

When the semolina is roasted and turns golden brown, add cocoa powder to it. Continue frying for another 2-3 minutes. This will give the halwa a chocolate-like taste.

Slowly add hot milk to the roasted semolina mixture. Stir continuously to avoid lumps and cook until the mixture thickens.

Add sugar and cardamom powder to the mixture and keep stirring. The halwa will start coming together and leaving the sides of the pan.

Now add chopped nuts to the halwa and mix.

Continue stirring and cooking for a few more minutes until the halwa reaches your desired consistency.

Remove the halwa from the flame.
