Everyone likes Rava Laddus very much. But till today you must have bought it from outside and eaten it. Today we have brought you the recipe for making Rava Laddu at home. Let us know Ingredients:
1 cup fine semolina
1/2 cup powdered sugar (to taste)
1/4 cup ghee
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup chopped dry fruits (cashews, almonds)
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
pinch of saffron threads (optional,
Raisins for garnish (optional) for color and taste
pc: Piping Pot Curry
Instruction:
Heat a heavy-bottomed pan or kadhai on low to medium flame and add semolina to it. Fry it while stirring continuously until it becomes light golden brown. This step is important to ensure that the raw taste of the semolina is gone. This will take about 7-8 minutes. Be careful not to over-fry it, as it may turn bitter.
Once the semolina is roasted, take it out from the pan and take it out in a big mixing bowl. Let it cool for a few minutes.
Add ghee to the same pan and let the ghee melt on low flame. If you are using saffron threads, you can add them to ghee to enhance their color and flavor.
Pour the melted ghee over the roasted semolina. Mix well to mix. Semolina will absorb ghee and become aromatic.
Add powdered sugar and cardamom powder to the mixture. Mix well until everything is well combined.
Now heat the milk lightly and add it to the mixture. Mix again until the mixture comes together. You should be able to make laddoos easily.
Finally, add chopped nuts and mix them into the mixture.
When the mixture is still hot, take a small portion in your hand and shape it into a round ball (laddu). Repeat the process with the remaining mixture to make all the laddus.
Alternatively, you can garnish each laddu with raisins on top.
Let the rava ladoo cool completely and set. They will harden as they cool.
