To make paneer butter masala, first cut paneer into one-inch cubes. Apart from this, chop onion, ginger, and garlic and grind them in a mixer to make a paste. Soak cashews in water for 15 minutes.

When the cashews become slightly soft, put them in a mixer along with a tablespoon of water and blend till a smooth paste is formed. Keep this paste aside.

Similarly, blend the tomatoes in a mixer and make tomato puree.

Heat a medium-sized pan, add oil and butter. When the butter melts, add onion paste and bay leaves. Fry the onion paste till it turns light brown.

Add long chopped green chilies and continue frying. When the onion paste turns light brown, add cashew paste to it and mix well. Cook the paste for about 2-3 minutes.

Now add tomato puree to it and keep cooking. Add coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and a little salt to the mixture. Cook and stir for about 2 minutes.

Add paneer pieces to the prepared masala and mix. Then add some water to it and let it boil for 5 minutes.
