Shri Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated every year on the eighth day of the Krishna Paksha of the month of Bhadrapada. The festival of Janmashtami is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the world. On this day the devotees of Kanha worship Lord Krishna and fast and offer him various types of food. Usually, there is a tradition of offering 56 bhog to Kanha on Krishna Janmashtami. But you can please Kanha by offering only five things instead of 56 bhog. Let us know which 5 things should be offered to Lord Krishna to get his blessings.

Makhan Mishri

Makhan Mishri is one of the favorite offerings of Lord Krishna. Shri Krishna used to eat sugar candy mixed with butter. This is the reason that even on Janmashtami, his devotees offer Makhan Mishri to please him.

Kheer

Shri Krishna loved to eat rice kheer. Mother Yashoda used to make special kheer to fulfill this wish of her child. Krishna devotees also offer kheer as bhog to please him on the day of Janmashtami.

Coriander Panjiri

Coriander Panjiri is also offered to Lord Krishna on the day of Janmashtami. Coriander Panjiri is prepared by adding sugar, cashews, almonds, and ghee to coriander powder and mixing it well. Then this prasad is offered to Kanha.

Panchamrit

Panchamrit is considered essential in the worship of Lord Krishna. Without this, the worship of Janmashtami is considered incomplete. Panchamrit contains five things - ghee, milk, curd, basil leaves, Ganga water, and honey.
