Important Ingredients:

  • Tamarind - four hundred grams
  • Cumin powder - two teaspoons
  • Mix Bengali masala - one teaspoon
  • Dry red chilli - eight
  • Jaggery - eight hundred grams
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Black salt - as per taste
  • Chironji - two teaspoons
  • Raisins - forty
  • Oil - two teaspoons

You can prepare it in this way:

First of all, soak tamarind in water for two hours and take out its seeds.

Along with tamarind, jaggery will also have to be soaked in water.

Now heat oil in a pan and fry Bengali masala in it.

After this, fry dry red chilli in it.

After this, add tamarind pulp, jaggery water, black salt and cumin powder and cook for two minutes.

Now add raisins and chironji to it and cook for ten minutes.

In this way your sweet and sour tamarind chutney is made.
