Recipe of the Day: Make Tomato Rice on Holi, this is the easy method to make it


Required Ingredients:

  • Two cups Basmati rice
  • Eight big tomatoes
  • Four onions
  • Six tablespoons refined oil
  • Two spoons garlic paste
  • One spoon turmeric
  • Six green chillies
  • Two spoons ginger paste 
  • Coriander leaves
  • Six spoons Sambar powder
  • Half spoon red chilli powder
  • Salt as required

You can prepare it in this way:

First of all soak Basmati rice in water for twenty minutes.

Now add water and rice in a vessel and boil it. When the rice is cooked, keep it in a vessel.

Now make puree of tomatoes in a mixer.

Now heat oil in a pan and fry onion, asafoetida and curry leaves until they turn pink.

After this, cook green chilli and ginger-garlic paste in it for two minutes.

Now add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, sambar powder and salt as required in the pan and cook for some time.

After this add boiled rice to it.

Finally add green coriander and taste it.
