Recipe: Mix cheela gives wonderful taste, a perfect option for breakfast

Ingredients for slurry

Gram flour - 1 cup

Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp

Semolina - 1/2 cup

oil - as required

Ajwain - 1 tsp

Salt - as per taste


Ingredients for Mix

Cabbage chopped - 1 small cup

Carrot grated - 1 Ginger grated - 1 inch

Capsicum chopped - 1

Green Coriander chopped - 1 tbsp

Green chilies chopped - 3


To make a healthy mix cheela, take a deep-bottomed vessel and add gram flour, red chili powder, semolina, carom seeds, and salt and mix it well. Now add water to this mixture and prepare a thin solution. The batter should neither be too thin nor too thick. After the solution is ready, add chopped cabbage, capsicum, carrot, green chili, green coriander, and ginger and mix it well. More water can be added to the solution as needed.

Keep the flame of the gas on medium and keep a nonstick pan/Tawa for heating. When the tawa becomes hot, grease it with a little oil inside it. Then, with the help of a bowl, put the prepared solution in the center of the pan and spread it in a circular motion. Now let the cheela cook for a while. Then turn it over. Roast them by applying an oil well on both sides of the cheela. Prepare cheela one by one from the whole batter in the same way. In this way the mix cheela for breakfast is ready. Serve it with tomato ketchup or chutney.
