Ingredients for Sohan Halwa:
1/2 kg flour
1/2 kg sugar
1/4 kg almonds
1/2 kg ghee
1 cup milk
100 grams pistachios
5-6 raisins
5-7 cashews
50 grams of green cardamom
Method:
Start by heating about a liter of water. Add sugar to it and let it boil for some time.
After this, add one cup of milk to the syrup and let it boil for 5 minutes.
Take a piece of cloth and strain the mixture. Mix the remaining water and syrup.
Dissolve flour in some water and cook on low flame.
As soon as the mixture becomes thick, add one spoon of ghee to it.
Keep stirring while adding ghee; This will prevent it from sticking to the pan and enhance the taste.
Keep stirring until the ghee separates from the mixture. When you see that the ghee is no longer mixed into the mixture, it is a sign that it is ready.
Now add almonds, pistachios, and green cardamom to the mixture.
Take out this mixture on a smooth plate and flatten it with a spoon.
Garnish with almonds, pistachios, etc.
