Material:

1 cup sago

1/2 cup boiled and mashed potatoes

1/4 cup finely chopped peanuts

1/4 cup finely chopped green chillies

1/4 cup finely chopped coriander

1/2 tsp cumin

1/4 tsp asafoetida

1/ 4 tsp red chilli powder

1/4 tsp coriander powder

1/4 tsp garam masala

Salt as per taste

Oil for frying

Instruction:

First of all, soak the sago in water for 3-4 hours and drain off the excess water.

Mash the soaked sago well.

In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes, chopped peanuts, green chillies, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, asafoetida, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt.

To make its mixture, mix everything well.

Divide this mixture into small portions and shape them into round vadas.

After this, heat the oil in a pan and fry the vadas until they turn golden brown.

Serve hot with green chutney and curd.

Tips:

Do not keep sago soaked for too long, it may cause the vadas to become soft.

While frying vadas, keep the flame on medium.

Adjust the quantity of spices according to your taste.

You can add roasted gram, onion or tomatoes to the mixture.

You can also serve vadas with green chutney, tamarind chutney, or tomato chutney.
