Recipe: Make Sabudana Khichdi this way in Navratri!


Necessary Ingredients

Sabudana - 1 cup

Almonds chopped - 6-8

Cashew nuts - 12-15

Groundnuts roasted - 1/4 cup

Ghee - 1 tsp


Curry leaves - 18-20 leaves

Green Coriander - 1 tbsp

Makhane - 1/2 cup

Red chili Whole - 2

Rock salt - 2 tsp

Green chili chopped - 1 tsp

Lemon juice - 1 tbsp


First of all, take sago, clean it with water and let it thaw for an hour. They should be completely submerged in water. Remove it after an hour and spread it on a thick cloth and leave it. The water should drain completely from the sabudana. Now take a pan and heat ghee in it. After it becomes hot, you have to fry it by adding cashew nuts, almonds, and makhana inside it. When they turn golden brown, take them out and keep them aside.


Now in a separate bowl mix together the sago, peanuts, salt, and chili powder. Then take a pan and heat ghee in it. After this add cumin, red chili, and curry leave and temper it. When the chilies become light in color, then add the sago mixture to them. Now cook it on low flame. Stir the sago well with a ladle. Then inside it, you have to put fried cashew nuts, almonds, and makhana. Now mix all these well and mix them together. Let it cook on low flame. After a while take it off the flame.

Add lemon juice to the sabudana khichdi and mix the khichdi well with a ladle. After this, add green coriander to it for garnishing. You can also fry green chilies inside it or you can also put it on top for garnishing. Now your dry fruits sabudana khichdi are ready. Serve it with curd or raita and enjoy yourself.
