Rice made for dinner is saved many times. No one likes to eat this cold rice the next day. But today in this episode, we are going to tell you about the recipe for making lemon rice from this leftover rice.

Necessary ingredients

Peanuts - 1 cup

Leftover Rice - 2 cups

Dry Red Chillies - 1/2 tsp

Chana Dal - 2 cups

Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp

Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp

Asafoetida - 1 tsp

Lemon Juice - 3-4 drops

Curry leaves - 6-7

Oil -

Coriander as required - 1 cup

Salt - As per taste



First heat oil in a pan. Then put mustard seeds and curry leaves inside it and cook it for a while.

Then add gram dal on low flame and fry it till it turns brown.

When the dal turns brown, add red chilies and peanuts and fry it.

Then add the remaining rice in it. Then add turmeric and salt to it and mix it well.

Cook a little and then add lemon juice to it.

Now keep it covered for 15-20 minutes.

Switch off the gas after the specified time.

Tasty Lemon Rice is ready. Garnish with coriander and serve.
