Recipe: Kashmiri Rajma tastes amazing, make it at home like this!

Ingredients for making Kashmiri Rajma
- 1 cup kidney beans
- 1 cup curd (whipped with 1 tsp)
- 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
- 2 tsp ginger paste
- 2 tsp fresh coriander (chopped)
- 1 tsp fennel powder
- 1 tsp dry ginger powder
- 2-3 Cloves
- 1-inch piece Cinnamon
- 2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli
- 2 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
- 4 Tablespoon mustard oil
- salt as per taste
How to make Kashmiri Rajma
To make Kashmiri Rajma, first, wash and soak the Rajma in enough water for 6-8 hours. After this remove the water from Rajma. Put 3 cups water, 1 teaspoon salt, cumin powder, cumin powder, cloves, and cinnamon, and keep it in a pressure cooker to boil. After 2-3 whistles, close the cooker and keep it aside. Now heat mustard oil in a pan, add cumin and asafoetida, and let it fry for a few seconds. After this, add onion to the pan and cook till it becomes light brown. Now add the ginger paste to it and fry it lightly. Now add curd to it and cook for 2-3 minutes. Now add coriander powder, turmeric, and Kashmiri red chili and fry well till the oil separates from the sides of the pan.
Now put the cooked kidney beans in the pan along with the water. Mash some kidney beans with a spoon. Now add salt as per taste and cook on low flame for 10-12 minutes. Finally, add garam masala and fresh coriander and mix. Your delicious Kashmiri Rajma is ready. Serve hot with rajma roti or rice.
