Recipe: Jalebi will satisfy your desire to eat something sweet, make it like this!



Jalebi, your mouth waters just by hearing the name. Jalebi is considered as the national sweet and people love to enjoy it. But what would you say if we told you that you can make it easily at home? You might be thinking that Jalebi looks complicated, but it is equally easy to make at home. Let us know about its recipe.



Oil or Ghee

Perforated cotton or coconut shell

Corn flour

Baking powder


Yellow food color or saffron


Cardamom powder (Elaichi)


To make Jalebi, you have to first prepare the batter. For this, take a mixing bowl and mix flour, baking soda, and cornflour in it. Mix these ingredients well.

Now, add a small amount of curd to the mixture and blend using a blender. Make sure there are no lumps left in the batter.

Next, mix the batter well to remove any lumps. Let the batter rest for about 1 to 2 hours.

Now prepare the syrup by adding 1 cup sugar and 2 cups water in a pan. Add yellow food color or saffron and cardamom powder to the syrup. Bring it to a boil and then let it simmer. Keep the sugar syrup aside.

To make Jalebi, heat oil or ghee in a pan. Take a cloth and use it as a funnel and pour the batter into hot oil and make spiral-shaped jalebis. Fry them until they become golden brown on both sides.

Once fried, immediately dip the jalebis in the sugar syrup, and let them soak for a while.

Now your jalebi is ready to enjoy. Serve them hot and enjoy this delicious dish.
