Time: 30 minutes to 1 hour

Meal Type: Veg

necessary ingredients

4 to 5 boiled potatoes

2 tbsp cornflour or semolina (for crunchiness in tikkis)

cup bread crumbs

3 to 4 finely chopped green chilies

1-inch grated ginger piece

tsp amchur powder

1 tsp chaat masala powder

tsp red chili powder

tsp roasted cumin powder

finely chopped coriander

salt to taste

For Decoration

Garnish Aloo Tikki Chaat with roasted cumin powder and finely chopped coriander leaves.

Peel the potatoes, mash or grate them well in a vessel.

After this, you have to add finely chopped green chili, ginger, cornflour or semolina, roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, chaat masala powder, amchur powder, finely chopped coriander, bread powder, and salt and mix it well.

After this, take the potato mixture little by little in your hand and flatten it into rounds. Make tikkis throughout the mixture in the same way. Keep them in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes to set.

Then take them out and put a small spoon of oil in a non-stick pan and heat it on the gas. Place all the rutkis one by one in the pan on medium flame and roast them till they turn golden brown in color from both the sides.

Hot potato tikkis are ready. Put them in a plate and serve with whipped curd, green chutney, sour sweet date-tamarind chutney, papdi, red chili powder and a little salt.
