You might have consumed sago in many ways during the fast. Today you must have consumed sago khichdi, sago papad, sago kheer etc. Today we have brought the recipe of Sabudana Halwa for you. So let us know how you can make it.

Sabudana Halwa Recipe

Sabudana - 1 cup

*Cardamom - 4 (ground)

*Chopped almonds - 10

*Chopped cashews - 10

*Saffron threads - (soaked in 1 teaspoon milk)

*Desi ghee - 4 tablespoons

*Sugar - 1/2 cup

Instruction:

-First of all, wash the sago thoroughly and then soak it in water for about 1 hour.

-After getting wet, the sago will swell and become soft.

-Heat a non-stick pan and add ghee to it. When ghee melts, add soaked sago into it and keep stirring with a spoon.

-Fry the sago until it turns light brown and smells good.

-Add about 2 cups of water to the pan and keep stirring the sago until it absorbs the water.

Now add saffron-soaked milk into it and keep stirring until the sago becomes transparent.

-When the sago is cooked well, add about 2 cups of water to it and mix well.

- In a separate pan, fry chopped almonds and cashews until they turn golden brown.

-Mix roasted nuts into the sago mixture.

-Add cardamom powder to taste.

-Add sugar as per taste and keep cooking while stirring continuously.

-Cook until the halwa becomes thick and starts leaving the sides of the pan.

-When the halwa is ready, turn off the flame and garnish with chopped almonds and cashews.

-Serve the delicious Sabudana Halwa hot and enjoy the unique sweetness.

-This easy and enjoyable recipe can be enjoyed during fasting or as a dessert.
