Sweets made from mawa are very popular in our country. The taste of sweets made from mawa is also excellent. One such sweet made from mawa and saffron is Kesar Peda. As soon as you taste it you will become its fan. Today we have brought this recipe for you.

Material:

Mawa (Khoya) – 2 cups

Saffron – 1/4 tsp

Milk – 1 tsp

Powdered sugar – 1/2 cup (as per taste)

Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp

Recipe:

-First of all, take a small bowl, add 1 spoon of milk and dissolve saffron well.

-Cover the saffron mixture and keep it aside.

Now heat a pan on medium flame.

-Put mawa in the pan and fry it while stirring continuously. Keep stirring the mawa for 7-8 minutes until it turns golden brown.

- When the mawa turns golden brown after roasting, turn off the flame.

-Take out the mixture, spread it on a tray or plate and keep it cool for 15-20 minutes.

-After the mawa cools down, add powdered sugar and cardamom powder to it. Mix it well.

-Then add saffron mixture to this mixture and mix it gently.

- Cover the mixture and keep it in the refrigerator for half an hour.

- Take out the mawa mixture from the refrigerator and knead it well like dough.

-Divide the mixture into equal parts of the size of the pedas. Roll one part into a circle and then press it lightly to give it the shape of a peda.

Similarly, make Kesar Peda and keep it on a plate. Finally, top each peda with one or two strands of saffron.

-Wrap each peda again and keep it in the fridge for 4-5 hours so that they set. Your Kesar Peda is ready.
