The festive season has started, and it brings a feeling of excitement for everyone. When we think of any celebration, sweets are the first thing that comes to mind. Generally, people buy sweets from the market, but the risk of adulteration is always there. 

Today we are sharing the recipe for such a sweet thing that you can prepare with accuracy at home and enjoy just like market sweets. We are talking about milk cake. You must have tasted the milk cake made by the confectioner, but this time try making it at home. You will find that it is just as delicious as what you get outside.

Ingredients for Milk Cake:

Milk: 2 liters

Sugar: 2 cups

Ghee: 2 tablespoons

Alum powder: 2 pinches

Instruction:

First of all, take a big saucepan and heat 2 liters of milk in it. Keep the flame on high.

When the milk boils, add two pinches of alum in it.

On adding alum the milk will curdle and become a solid substance.

-Keep boiling the milk continuously and cook until it thickens. Cook until the milk thickens.

Now add 2 cups of sugar to milk. 

With the help of a spoon, mix the sugar well in the milk and let it boil. 

After about 10 minutes, when the milk thickens to some extent, add 2 tablespoons of ghee in it. 

Keep stirring the mixture occasionally while cooking.

Keep cooking the entire mixture on low flame until it becomes very thick.

As the mixture thickens, its color will also start changing.

When the mixture changes color and becomes thick, turn off the flame. 

Now take a deep plate or tray and pour the mixture into it. Let it cool for about half an hour.

After half an hour, check whether the mixture has been set properly or not. 

If it has not set, give it more time to cool, and if it has set well, cut it into your preferred shape.
