Recipe- Dates Barfi will make you forget all other tastes, know the recipe!



Barfi is one of the best options for people who love sweets. Be it any happy occasion or party, barfi makes that day special. The sweetness of barfi fascinates everyone. Although barfi can be made in many flavours, right now we are talking about dates barfi, which is very tasty. You can easily make it at your home.


Dates – 400 grams

Chopped almonds – 50 grams

Poppy seeds – 20 grams

Raisins – 50 grams

Grated coconut – 25 grams

Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon

Clarified butter (ghee) – 75 grams


- First of all, fry the poppy seeds in a pan on low flame. Then keep them aside and grind the dates in a blender.

Now fry all the dry fruits in the same pan on low flame. When it starts turning golden, add grated coconut to it.

Then add cardamom powder to it. Mix it well and finally add ground dates.

-Let this mixture cook for the next 2-3 minutes. Then pour this mixture into a tray and spread it evenly while it is still hot.

-Then cut it into square pieces and sprinkle poppy seeds on top. Let it cool for some time.

-Once the barfi cools down, it is ready to serve. You can also decorate it with finely chopped dry fruits.
