Crispy Corn Chaat is a popular street food snack from India consisting of crispy roasted corn kernels mixed with flavourful spices and tangy chutney. It is a delicious dish that can be served as an evening snack or as a starter at parties. The easy recipe to make crispy corn chaat is as follows:


2 cups corn kernels (fresh or frozen)

2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)

1 tsp red chili powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

Salt to taste

Oil for deep frying

Chopped onion

Chopped tomato

Chopped cucumber Chopped

coriander Patti

Chaat Masala Tamarind

Chutney Mint


Sev (thin crispy noodles) for garnish.

In a bowl add corn kernels, corn flour, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well to evenly coat the corn kernels with the spices and cornflour.

For deep frying, heat oil in a deep pan or kadhai.

Once the oil is hot, carefully drop the coated corn kernels in the oil and deep-fry till they turn golden brown and crisp. Remove them from the oil using a slotted spoon and wipe off the excess oil with the help of a paper towel.

In a mixing bowl, add roasted corn kernels, chopped onions, tomatoes, cucumber, and coriander leaves.

Sprinkle some chaat masala and mix everything well.

Pour some tamarind chutney and mint chutney over the mixture and toss to coat all the ingredients evenly.

Take out the crispy corn chaat in a serving plate or bowl.

Garnish with a generous amount of sev on top.

Serve immediately and enjoy crispy corn chaat as a tasty and tangy snack.
