Just before the Lok Sabha elections, the Central Government announced a solar panel scheme, named PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. This scheme was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself, after which applications for this scheme have now started. Under this scheme, rooftop solar panels will be installed on more than one crore houses across the country, for which the survey has started. Additionally, the government has said that each family will get 300 units of free electricity under this scheme. Now those who have not yet applied for the scheme want to know how much time is left to apply.

More than one crore applications

With the announcement of PM Surya Ghar Yojana, applications for the scheme also started. People from all over the country have applied for this scheme. Then, just a few days ago, Prime Minister Modi himself revealed that more than one crore applications have been received for the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. He urged those who have not yet applied to apply as soon as possible. Along with this, the PM also shared the link to apply for the scheme.

When will the applications be accepted?

Let us now know the answer to that question: When is the last date to apply for the scheme? At present the government has not announced the last date, but it has been told that more than one crore applications have been received. Under this scheme, solar panels will be installed on one crore houses. Therefore, after a few lakh applications are rejected, new applications will not be accepted.

To apply for PM Surya Ghar Yojana, you will have to go to pmsuryagarh.gov.in, where you will get all the information related to the scheme. You can also apply from here. Some conditions have been set for the application, those who have already received a subsidy for solar panels will not get the benefit of this scheme. Similarly, homes that do not have their own rooftop space or do not have adequate rooftop space will not install solar panels.
